This year you once again have the opportunity to follow Jazzfest Berlin on air thanks to our co-operation with ARD radio stations and Deutschlandradio. In the early hours of Sunday morning, ARD-JazzNacht will follow on seamlessly from the live broadcast from Jazzfest Berlin to present musical highlights from the first few days of the festival, interviews with the artists and impressions of the festival. It will include the European premiere of the Hemphill Stringtet, Hamid Drake’s Turiya feat. Naïssam Jalal, the youthful trio of Kirke Karja/Ludwig Wandinger/Etienne Renard, recordings of the legendary performer and composer Sven-Åke Johansson and a trio made up of Peter Brötzmann, Majid Bekkas and Hamid Drake.
