Unsuk Chin in conversation with Fanny Tanck

The composer Unsuk Chin has been one of the important voices on the international contemporary music scene for many years. At Musikfest Berlin 2023, three of her works will be performed: concertos for the instruments sheng and violoncello as well as a concerto for orchestra. Unsuk Chin tells music journalist Fanny Tanck how she came across the rarely heard instrument sheng and why she doesn’t regret the long journey to acceptance and appreciation of her music.
