<p><span lang="EN-GB" dir="ltr">Puppets are an indispensable element in the work of director and artist Gisèle Vienne. In this lecture, she describes the role these figures have played within her oeuvre, focusing particularly on her and Étienne Bideau-Rey’s dance performance “Showroomdummies #4”. Her dialogist is Marietta Piekenbrock, an author, curator and art manager who has followed and promoted Vienne’s work for many years.</span></p>
