The drama enters the stage and takes its course. We immerse ourselves in the texts of the invited authors, follow conflicts and dialogues and ask ourselves: What has actually become of drama?

Drama has long since ceased to take place only in the theatre, it is everywhere. In politics, on social media or in everyday life, we encounter dramatic structures and conflicts at every turn. But what characterises drama as a literary genre, post-drama today? What forms and themes does it address? And what relevance does dramatic writing have in an age in which theatre has to constantly reinvent itself?
These questions are at the centre of our talk, to which we have invited authors who deal intensively with writing for the stage. They will provide insights into their work, talk about the challenges and possibilities of the dramatic text and discuss how drama is finding new spaces today - both in the theatre and beyond.
