Shorts: Anna Prohaska

Soprano Anna Prohaska returns to the stage of the Musikfest Berlin with the Hamburg-based ensemble Resonanz. The “ecstatic range” of her new program extends from Britten’s Les Illuminations – a work she has been performing for 13 years and in whose texts by Arthur Rimbaud she continually discovers something new – to the world premiere of Enno Poppe’s Kreis, a work that allows her, as a soprano, to transcend the boundaries of the familiar.
